All
American Ads - 70s

People
need to look no further than to Taschens book, All
American Ads - 70s to understand why I love that decade
more than any other. People are always way too stuck on the whole
disco and bell bottoms thing to fully appreciate the originality
and coolness that was the 1970s.
Taschens
gorgeous book, (a virtual bible of cool ads that reflect the best
of that era in graphic design and advertising,) is an absolute
must have and will bring back a flood of memories to anyone who
grew up or lived through that decade.
Exhaustingly complete, our hats go off to Editor Jim Heimann and
his beautiful work. This book has it all, from alcohol ads to
clothing, record and movie art to household wares and food, you
will be swept back to a time when life was simpler and things
just felt more fun.
The hair, the clothes, the color tones, and the foggy lens images
will have you turning page after page in delight, pointing to
the things you loved most, and recounting stories to those who
werent there, (suckers, it was awesome in the 70s.)
If all of the books in the All American Ads series
are this good, I will most certainly be picking up more, (and
you should too!)
