Several years ago Petter Hegre
became famous for his photo book of naked pictures of his first
wife. Yes, it was a great coffee table book and it did have page
after page of naked images of a beautiful naked woman, but what
too many people were missing was that Petter Hegre was one hell
of a brilliant photographer.
I am a huge fan of Petter Hegre’s work, and a member of his
site, www.hegre-archives.com,
but I also own most of his books. It is one thing to have thousands
of beautiful images at your fingertips, but it is quite another
to hold in your hands his work in one of his beautiful books.
Fans of photography in the United
States might miss out on Hegre’s books, as they are often
difficult to find. (I ordered all of mine through Amazon.com,)
but they are worth the search and worth the money spent.
With Luba, Hegre’s ode to
his current wife and muse, Petter Hegre offers not only a starkly
candid look at Luba, but a beautiful and intimate glimpse into
their wonderful lives. Petter Hegre and Luba are obviously two
carefree and happy individuals. Luba has no hang-ups about being
naked in front of the camera, (and members of www.hegre-archives.com know that she is also becoming quite comfortable behind the camera,)
but Luba the book isn’t just about lack of clothing, it is
about the fire hot vibrancy that radiates from this beautiful
creature. It is not stepping out on a limb by stating that Luba
is one of the most beautiful women on the planet and that just
one book devoted to her is not enough.
Luba the book isn’t just a loving tribute from an artist
to his muse, but a tribute to the beauty of women as a whole,
and to their mystery and the hypnotic hold they have on us. Find

Petter Hegre’s latest book,
100 Naked Girls is a collection of some of the most beautiful
women he has ever photographed, and a wonderful sampler of Petter’s
brilliant eye.
It is quite easy to let your eyes
wander from the display of nudity when enjoying Petter’s
work and allow yourself to be swept up in the bright color and
crisply clear resolution of his work. (Petter makes landscapes
more beautiful in his photographs than they sometimes do in real
life.)

tour of models and could devote entire books to each lady, (especially
my favorites Elina, Leila, Marketa, Olga, and many more books
of Luba.) Then again, his site offers us new photos every single
day, so there is no shortage of material. If you think you have
seen all the books you ever need to on beautiful European women,
you are more than mistaken. 100 Naked Girls is an instant classic
and a must have for any photo lovers collection. If you are unaware
or familiar with Petter Hegre’s photography this is a perfect
way to familiarize yourself, (but be warned, purchasing 100 Naked

Yes, 100 Naked Girls is a beautiful photo collection book for
the lover of the female form, and it is filled page after page
of fresh and eternal beauty, but for me the star of this book
is Petter Hegre. I get the sense that Petter is consumed with
capturing images and he is as devoted to his art the way any true
artist is. It is his life, and he has the good fortune to share
his art and his life with his love and muse, Luba.
Luckily for us, Petter doesn’t
get tired of photographing the female nude, and I hope that he
never does. When Petter captures an image, even if it is a beautiful
naked woman, it is like you are seeing it for the first time.
You don’t need my words to convince you that Petter Hegre
is one of the most talented photographers working, (and one of
the most generous.) All one has to do is pick up a copy of this
book or go to his web site. Like the women he photographs, Petter’s
art will hypnotize and lull you into a magical trance that you
will never want to wake from.
